Dear customers, business associates, and colleagues,
We are happy and a little proud to be celebrating the 20th birthday of Ebm
Maschinenbau GmbH this year. Step by step, a healthy specialised mechanical
engineering company has evolved in Meitingen. It was patents for tube and pipe
forming machines, new developments, tailor-made solutions for customers and
long-lasting customer relations that have allowed us to get this far.
The one-man operation with second-hand lathes in my mother’s garage has grown
into a company employing more than 50 people. With annual sales of approximately
5 million Euros, a solid equity ratio, and despite the discussion about Germany
as a business location, the company yields a reasonable rate of return. Our
machines are sold to countries worldwide. Being a certified master mechanic by
trade, I put great efforts into learning English in order to achieve this.
Today we have arrived at the point where my
goals for the future begin, and it is time to look ahead. The construction of a
second plant in the Meitingen area is in the planning stage. As a company well
established in its niche of the market, we have enough orders to take this risk.
With a capital expenditure of two to three million Euros, the modern factory
will house the development, manufacture and assembly of tube processing machines.
On a personal level I am working on my MBA degree and am also preparing myself
for this expansion. We will create approximately 50 new jobs and need committed
people who appreciate my direct, frank, honest, and consistent style of
leadership.
As a father and entrepreneur, the youth is especially close to my heart. Hence
it is my aim to create more apprenticeship training positions. Currently we have
15 young people as apprentices. I strive to exemplify within the company that it
is desirable to be successful. You have to want it and it does not only depend
on your education.
Everything this company has achieved is thanks
to our good and fair customers and especially the employees, their commitment,
ideas and creativity. I would like to say thanks to you and to all the people
who have contributed to this achievement and have helped me on my way.
